Queen Creek Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Special Education to support classroom objectives and work with individual students or small groups at Queen Creek Junior High School.

The role requires a high school diploma, dependable attendance, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Candidates must pass background checks and obtain Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card. 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, on-site, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent documented.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification or have current certification.
• Ability to bend and lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Background clearance required and fingerprint clearance card (Arizona IVP Level One).

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with objectives for individual students or small groups.
• Reinforce learning and guide independent study as directed by the teacher.
• Check class work, supervise testing, and support classroom routines.
• Assist with lunch, recess and activity transitions.
• Help supervise students and support safety in the classroom.
