Job summary

Queen Creek Unified School District in Eastmark High School is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Special Education to support classroom teachers and students. You will work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning, help with lunch and daily routines, and supervise students under the teacher's guidance.

This is an hourly, non-exempt position working 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The role requires a high school diploma, reliable attendance, and ability to obtain

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Excellent attendance and reliability are essential.
Willingness to obtain First Aid and CPR certification if not already held.
Must pass a background clearance.
Must obtain Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

Work with individual students or groups to reinforce learning.
Guide independent study and remedial work as directed by the teacher.
Check class work, grade papers and supervise testing as assigned.
Assist substitute teachers and communicate issues to the classroom teacher.
Assist with lunch, snack, recess and classroom routines.
Meet students at the bus and supervise transitions to/from buses.
Operate and care for classroom assistive technology.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
