Queen Creek Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Special Education at Queen Creek High School. You will support the teacher with individual students or small groups to help meet classroom and individual goals.

You will reinforce lessons, assist with progress checks, and help with daily routines such as lunch, recess, and transitions. The role is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent attendance record required.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification and keep certifications current.
• Must be able to bend and lift 30 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
• Must pass a background clearance.
• Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsabilidades

• Works with individual students or groups to reinforce learning introduced by the teacher.
• Guides independent study, enrichment, and remedial work set up by the classroom teacher.
• Checks class work, grades papers and supervises testing as assigned by the teacher.
• Serves as the chief source of information and help for substitutes in the regular teacher's absence.
• Alerts the classroom teacher to any problems.
• Maintains confidentiality and ethical behavior expected of teachers.
• Participates in in-service training programs as required.
• Assists students with lunch, snack, recess, and cleanup routines.
• Meets students at the bus each morning and accompanies to bus in the afternoon.
• Assists with wash-up, toilet routines, including diaper changes.
