Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older and a high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or two years post-secondary education in related field a bonus.
• Experience working with individuals with special needs helpful.
• Patience, empathy and a passion for helping others.
• Flexibility to work with a team to assist students inside or outside the classroom, possibly as bus aide.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Desire to continually increase knowledge and positively impact students.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized assistance to students with special needs.
• Support students academically and socially to reach their potential.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to plan activities.
• May include bus aide duties and supervision as needed.
