Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with teachers, support staff, and school administrators.
• CPI/restraint certification, First aid and CPR training completed at the earliest district offering.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students under the supervising teacher.
• Assists the teacher with planned activities and instructional programs.
• Assists in preparing instructional materials and setting up audiovisual equipment; operates copy machines and computers.
• Maintains individual student records.
• Supervises students at arrival/dismissal, in the classroom, lunchroom, and playground.
• Presents subject matter using varied methods under teacher supervision.
• Assists students with lesson assignments to reinforce concepts.
• Assists with self-care activities as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
