Qualifications

Must meet MSDE standards with an Associate’s Degree, 48 college credits, or successful completion of the Paraprofessional examination.
Previous classroom experience preferred.
Familiarity with practices for students with behavioral problems.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to accept supervision.

Responsibilities

Perform general instructional-related duties (duplicating materials, preparing materials, assisting with student activities).
Work under supervision of a highly qualified teacher.
Provide one-to-one or small group support as needed per IEP.
Maintain records and correct tests and homework as appropriate.
Support students in accordance with teacher plans and instructions.
