Job summary

Arlington Public Schools seeks a Special Education certified Homebound Teacher to support homebound students in Arlington, VA. This hourly, part-time position is located in the Office of Academics and offers up to 5 hours weekly for elementary and up to 10 hours for secondary learners.

On-site instruction maintains continuity with the regular program. You will coordinate with teachers, counselors, and a program coordinator, keep logs of instructional hours, and submit student work with

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Special Education endorsement is required.
• Dual endorsement in ESL and/or other content area preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain close contact with student’s teachers, counselor, and program coordinator.
• Implement educational programs using classroom materials or supervisor guidance.
• Record instructional hours for each student and file with the Supervisor, Special Education.
• Submit completed work and maintain written documentation of homebound instruction.
