Job summary

Overdale Elementary School in Louisville, Kentucky seeks a Special Education Instructional Health Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year to support a certificated teacher with health services, classroom tasks and student supervision.

This 10-month, full-time position offers a pay scale from $16.46 to $26.44 per hour, 6.5 hours per day, 170 instructional days, with benefits and opportunities to assist with crisis intervention, testing and records.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of: 48 college hours, an Associate’s Degree, or a high school diploma plus passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment Exam.

Responsibilities

• Administer first aid and medications according to policies.
• Perform health services for students and assist with crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal hygiene, tutoring, and record keeping.
• Support teacher with lesson prep and classroom materials.
