Job summary

Mason Public Schools in Michigan seeks a Special Education Assistant - Health Aide to support students in general and special education settings. The Health Aide assists with personal care needs, diabetes-related tasks, and instructional support to promote student success.

Responsibilities include one-on-one instruction, health plan support, behavior management, reading/writing assistance, and classroom supervision. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, school year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience working with children is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with reading and writing; act as a reader/scribe.
• Support students in general or special education classrooms.
• Assist with health care plans and personal care needs.
• Provide general classroom support and supervision as needed.
• Offer individual tutoring in academics and social skills.
• Assist with transitions and behavior management within the classroom.
