Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred.
• Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
• Specialized training related to the needs of students preferred.
• Trained in verbal de-escalation and physical restraint within 6 months.
• Ability to behave honestly, professionally, and ethically.

Responsibilities

• Work with intensive disabilities and associated equipment.
• Collect data on students to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies.
• Use technology in the compilation of information.
• Implement IEP/504 accommodations under supervision of Special Education personnel.
• Supervise students and ensure tasks are completed.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate pro-socially with students and parents.
