Job summary

The Public Schools of Northborough-Southborough is seeking an Educational Support Professional (ESP) for Neary Elementary School in Southborough, MA. The ESP provides specialized instruction to students with disabilities under the supervision of the Student Support Services team.

Starting date: Aug 27, 2026. Reports to the Principal/Assistant Principal or SSS Administration. Salary ranges from $27.53 to $29.75 per hour; full-time position with benefits as per district policy.

Qualifications

• Associate’s (or higher) degree; or taking and passing a formal assessment measuring one’s knowledge of and ability to assist classroom teachers in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specially designed instruction to students with IEPs under supervision.
• Deliver specialized instruction in or out of the classroom in small groups or co-taught classes.
• Work cooperatively with general education teachers and SSS to deliver universal accommodations.
• Participate as a member of the student support services team.
• Monitor student progress and report weekly to the SSS team.
• Attend weekly meetings with the SSS team for data review and updates.
• Implement daily lessons as directed by team members.
• Implement behavioral plans per IEP.
• Assist in data collection to support IEP goals.
• Prepare specialized instructional materials with the SSS team.
• Maintain scheduled instruction times for consistency.
• ESPs may assist with toileting, recess, lunch, and transportation as needed.
