Job summary

Gresham Barlow School District is seeking a Teacher - Special Education for the Educational Resource Classroom (ERC) at East Gresham Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. This temporary 1.0 FTE position requires an Oregon teaching license with a Special Education endorsement and current First Aid.

Salary and stipends are prorated based on FTE and contract days. A specialty stipend of $992 is available for the 2026-2027 year, with an additional multilingual stipend of $665 if certified

Qualifications

Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to special education.
Ability to motivate students and work with diverse populations.
Experience coordinating with support staff and families.

Responsibilities

Instruct students with individualized special needs to develop academic and daily living skills.
Manage classroom and student behavior to ensure a safe learning environment.
Prepare and maintain IEPs, FBA/BIPs, reports, and progress documents.
Collaborate with school personnel and community agencies to support student outcomes.
Direct instructional assistants and volunteers to support the program.
