Qualifications

State of Oregon teaching license with Special Education endorsement and current First Aid Card.
Ability to work with students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Knowledge of and ability to work with all special education eligibilities and related state laws.

Responsibilities

Instruct students with individualized special needs to develop academic, interpersonal, self management, and daily living skills.
Manage classroom to provide a safe and optimal learning environment.
Prepare IEPs, Functional Behavior Assessments, Behavior Intervention Plans, grades, attendance and progress reports.
Collaborate with school personnel and community agencies to maximize student outcomes.
Direct instructional aides and adapt lessons to meet IEP goals.
Advise parents/guardians on student progress and home reinforcement.
Facilitate IEP meetings and ensure compliance with district/state policies.
