Job summary

Qualifications

• Special education experience aligned with IEP development.
• Familiarity with IDEA, Rhode Island regulations and procedures.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs based on evaluations and needs.
• Ability to collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized and individualized instruction for students with disabilities according to IEP.
• Document student progress and plan lessons.
• Develop schedules for caseload to ensure required services are accessed.
• Develop IEPs based on evaluations and student needs.
• Lead IEP team for assigned caseload.
• Attend planning meetings and communicate with parents and professionals.
• Maintain accurate special education records.
• Collaborate with teams to solve student concerns.
• Participate in RTI and evaluation processes as needed.
• Monitor progress on IEPs and behavior plans; report to team and parents.
