Job summary

Abraham Lincoln School in Bangor, ME seeks an Educational Technician II/III to support Pre-K and Special Education students. Schedule is 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM; certification or the ability to obtain before start date is required.

You will assist with classroom organization, materials, and daily routines, providing small group and one-on-one support while promoting a warm, inclusive environment and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Educational Technician II or III certification or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Support students' self help, social, and behavioral development.
• Maintain a warm, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom organization, materials, and daily routines.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• Familiarity with ABA Discrete Trial instruction preferred.
• Experience with emotional disabilities and Autism preferred.
• Willingness to assist with feeding/toileting as needed.
• Ability to implement behavior plans and IEPs.
• Knowledge of behavior-management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and one-on-one student support.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess and meal times.
• Assist with daily routines and preparation of materials.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
