Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational assessment.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state equivalent for the position.
• Valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate.
• Knowledge of human development, second language acquisition and learning.
• Knowledge of special education and the ARD process.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Three years of teaching experience, preferably in special education.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate cognitive and educational functioning of referred students.
• Score and interpret test data and prepare reports.
• Coordinate ARD meetings and contribute to IEP development.
• Provide staff development and assist with IEP implementation.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to parents, staff and administrators.
