Mercor seeks a Special Education Expert for a contract, remote role. You will review AI-generated IEP goals, create realistic scenarios, and annotate data for compliance, while providing feedback on federal/state education law. Collaboration with research teams is expected to refine evaluation frameworks for special education AI.

Compensation is task-based with potential bonuses. Must have 3+ years in special education, with IEP coordination or ABA background.

Compensation: $850–$1,000 per completed task

Location: Remote

• Create realistic scenarios based on special education workflows like IEP meeting documentation and progress monitoring.
• Annotate, label, and validate data across special education use cases, ensuring compliance with IDEA and other regulations.
• Provide structured feedback on AI accuracy in areas such as federal and state special education law and evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks for special education AI.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3+ years of professional experience in special education.
• Background in special education classroom instruction, IEP coordination, or applied behavior analysis.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate individualized student support workflows into structured evaluation tasks.
• Clear written communication and attention to detail.

Preferred

• Professional credentials such as BCBA , special education teaching licensure, or school psychologist certification.
