Job summary

IRVING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT seeks a Special Education Clerk for Austin Middle School in Irving, TX. The role assists the educational diagnostician and SLP with SPED records under the principal's supervision.

Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate and a high school diploma or GED are required. Salary ranges from $15.07 to $22.35 per hour; position is nonexempt and full-time with a paraprofessional pay grade.

Qualifications

Educational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to use computer proficiently for word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
Ability to work well with children with disabilities.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of student records.
Keep accurate records of students with disabilities and furnish to appropriate personnel promptly.
Assist diagnostician and/or SLP in maintaining, copying, transferring confidential folders as required.
Perform other duties that enhance safety, security, and instructional needs of the campus.
Uphold and enforce school rules, regulations, and policies.
Participate in staff development and meetings.
Work with SPED staff to schedule ARD meetings.
Mail information to parents promptly and distribute information to staff.
Maintain roster of students receiving SPED services.
Enter and maintain SPED data in the data management system.
