Job summary

Memphis Shelby County Schools seeks a dedicated paraprofessional to support special education teachers and manage classroom activities. You will assist with instructional materials, supervise students, reinforce lessons, and help coordinate special projects under supervision.

A minimum of an Associate's Degree or 48 college hours is required, with CPR and First Aid certification preferred or obtainable. Experience with children in educational settings is desired, and the ParaPro Assessment Test

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 48 semester hours required.
• Pass the ParaPro Assessment Test.
• 1 year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in instructing and supervising students with disabilities.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom setups for activities.
• Supervise and assist children in classroom and other school areas; reinforce lessons.
• Coordinate special projects or programs as assigned.
