Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in the preparation of educational materials for students.
• Work individually or in small groups to help reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with all aspects of the daily routine including grading quizzes.
• Participate in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Prepare and maintain bulletin boards and learning centers.

Skills

Classroom experience and/or proven ability to work with children

Ability to follow written and oral instructions quickly and accurately

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Excellent organizational skills and flexibility

Education

High School Diploma or GED

60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with a grade of C or better

Associate's Degree or higher at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution
