We are looking for dynamic teaching assistants who want to work with a young, autistic population in an ABA setting. This is an ideal position for anyone looking to start a career in education with a goal of becoming a teacher or becoming a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
Teaching assistants will be given a 10‑month contract (Sept. 1 – June 30) that includes days off for school holidays, including a week for winter break and a week for spring break, as well as a 30‑day contract for ESY (Extended School Year) that runs for six weeks in the summer.
10‑month school year hours are 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; the 30‑day ESY hours are 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The Classroom Assistant at Y.A.L.E. School assumes the professional responsibility for providing supervision of assigned students in a safe, supportive and positive classroom climate that develops in each student the skills, attitudes, and knowledge to meet and exceed the approved curricula and directives of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Classroom Assistant work collaboratively with other members of the school staff and with parents.
In addition, the Classroom Assistant will strive to meet the highly effective criteria for the implementation of a School Wide Positive Behavior Support system and the recording of daily behavioral data and addressing the needs of diverse learners through classroom environment, leadership, and professionalism.
