Job summary

KIPP Memphis Collegiate Elementary is seeking a dedicated paraeducator to support special education teachers in a K-12 setting. You will help prepare instructional materials, supervise students, and reinforce lessons.

You will maintain records, assist with daily routines, monitor behavior, and assist during field trips and testing. CPR/First Aid may be required; strong communication with staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited college with an Associate's Degree or 48 college credits.
• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers in maintaining an organized classroom and with activities.
• Supervises students and assists with small groups during instruction.
• Prepares instructional materials and sets up classrooms for activities.
• Maintains student records, attendance, and assists with tests and grades.
• Assists with field trips, lunch, bus loading/unloading, and daily routines.
• Provides help to students with special needs as assigned.
• Communicates with parents as necessary and attends meetings.
• Performs routine clerical tasks and protects confidentiality of records.
• Supports classroom behavior management and reinforces lessons.
