Job summary

Oldham County Schools seeks a Camden Station Elementary CAB Assistant (26/27) to support special education programs under the supervision of the classroom teacher and administrator. The role emphasizes structured instruction, collaboration with staff, and direct student assistance.

The position requires meeting paraeducator qualifications, a 185-day contract, and a 7-hour workday within the district's compensation framework.

Qualifications

Ability to work with children.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
High school diploma.
Passing Paraeducator exam or 48 college credit hours required.
Experience with children in a group setting.
Must be able to lift, push or pull 40 pounds and bend at the waist, kneel and reach above your head.

Responsibilities

Provides assistance for the special education classroom teacher in highly structured and general education settings.
Assists the teacher in carrying out specially designed instructional programs for individual students.
Complies with IDEA guidelines.
Assists in classroom assessments, IEP data collection, grading, creating materials, and instruction.
Attends required professional development and meetings.
Maintains classroom management and academics in the teacher's absence.
Assists students with technology used in the classroom and school settings.
Performs medically related services for students receiving nursing services.
Other duties assigned by school administrators and supervising teachers.
