Job summary

The Oxford Hills School District is seeking a Special Education Bus Aide for an Out of District Student. AM and PM bus runs are available, and the aide will monitor behavior and assist with boarding, seating, and exiting on district transportation.

Candidate must hold a valid Ed Tech I, II or III certificate. Reports to the Director of Student Services and Director of Transportation. This role supports students with disabilities and mobility equipment while on the bus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe boarding, seating and exiting for all students, including those with disabilities and mobility equipment.
• Monitors student behavior and provides support per individual needs and plans.
• Assists the driver to ensure a safe ride to and from school.
• Communicates respectfully with students, parents, staff and transportation personnel.
• Follows emergency procedures and maintains confidentiality per FERPA.
