Responsibilities

• Instruct children in small groups or tutor individuals in reading, math, writing, etc.
• Rotate groups periodically during the school day with teachers and other staff assistants.
• Record data on student performance; input student information on the computer.
• Prepare instructional materials under the direction of a Special Education Teacher.
• Assist in mainstreaming regular and special education students where applicable.
• Assist teachers with testing and life skills development.
• Maintain classroom calendars, bulletin boards and other room arrangements.
