Woodward Academy seeks a Special Education Associate to support students with diverse academic and behavioral needs under certified teaching staff. This role involves instruction assistance, supervision, and ensuring a safe, positive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with youth, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach to support students’ daily living and educational goals. Iowa Paraeducator credentials are encouraged.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of work or volunteer experience with children/youth under 21.
• Strong communication, teamwork, patience, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students with a variety of educational and behavioral needs.

Position Summary

The Special Education Associate supports students with academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and daily living needs under the direction of certified teaching staff. This position assists with instruction, classroom activities, student supervision, behavior support, and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
