Job summary

Responsibilities include supervising students, assisting teachers, and supporting both individual and small-group activities. Candidates should have college credits or an approved paraeducator credential, with a focus on confidentiality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credits (usually 60 credits) or higher degree, or passing ParaPro/Paraeducator assessment.
• Experience with students who have cognitive and physical disabilities preferred.
• Proficiency with word processing, filing and basic computer tasks.
• Patient, calm and understanding demeanor when working with students.
• Confidentiality and reliability are essential for daily assignments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide instructional support to students with disabilities.
• Provide clerical and organizational assistance to teachers as needed.
• Work with individuals or small groups during activities and assignments.
• Support students in crisis situations as required.
• Willingness to lift, carry and physically assist as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by teachers or principal.
