Job summary

SESI, a division of FullBloom, seeks an assistant teacher to support students with special needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools. You’ll collaborate with the classroom teacher to deliver individualized services to small groups and track student progress.

You’ll implement SESI’s instructional model with PBIS, participate in assessments, communicate with families, and help with behavior support while maintaining a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small group instruction in the SESI model in collaboration with the teacher.
• Provide customized behavior and academic support and conduct formal and informal assessments.
• Reinforce learning, assign tasks, and track student progress toward goals.
• Assist with large group activities, grading, and ensuring student safety.
