Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or two years of college (minimum 48 semester hours) required/preferred.
• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test.
• One year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education teachers in instructing and supervising activities for students with disabilities.
• Prepare instructional materials and set up classrooms for activities.
• Supervise children in the classroom and other areas of the school.
• Reinforce classroom lessons and provide additional assistance as requested.
• Coordinate special projects and programs as assigned.
