The position follows the school year with shifts typically between 7:15am and 3:30pm, and requires a high school diploma or GED, flexibility, and strong communication with students, staff and parents.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.
• Must be flexible to meet changing student needs.
• Ability to relate to students, staff, and parents.
• Strong desire to help young people succeed.
• Positive attitude and ability to complete tasks independently.
• Strong office computer and oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of child guidance principles and basic instructional methods.
• Will ing to supervise students in community settings.
• Must participate in Special Education Department training.
