Job summary

North Allegheny School District seeks Special Education Assistants for Marshall Elementary School to provide academic, emotional, social, behavioral, and physical support to identified students in regular and special education settings. Positions run seven hours per day during the school year.

Starting hourly rate is $20.70 with a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants must have 48 post-secondary credits, an Associate’s Degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment, plus

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with 48 credits, an Associate’s Degree or ParaPro Assessment completed.
• Clearances incl. Child Abuse History, PA Criminal Record Check, FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
• Pre-employment Physical and TB Test completed after selection.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for identified students in regular and/or special education settings.
• Collaborate with Inclusion Facilitators, SPED Teachers and Regular Ed Teachers.
• Support academic, emotional, social, behavioral and physical needs.
