Job summary

Grapevine High School (GCISD) is seeking a Special Education Assistant for the RISE program. The role supports students with significant developmental disabilities in a self-contained environment, assisting with instruction, self-help, and behavior management under professional supervision.

Responsibilities include supervision, personal care support, and collaboration with teachers to implement IEP goals. Opportunities exist to participate in trainings and campus activities within a full-time

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Educational environment experience preferred.
• Educational Aide Certification may be applied for after employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and assistance for students with significant social, communication, mobility, cognitive and/or behavioral challenges.
• Help students with physical needs including feeding, bathroom, and personal hygiene.
• Assist students with physical disabilities including transfers, lifting or positioning.
• Adapt classroom work to support curriculum and instruction under teacher guidance.
