Job summary

Great Hearts Anthem is seeking a part-time Special Education Teaching Assistant, Long-Term Substitute to support students in a inclusive classroom. The role runs as a temporary assignment from mid-October through mid-December, with a 20-hour weekly schedule on-site at Anthem, AZ.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or higher, experience in special education, and an Educational Aide certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in special education.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Educational Aide certification I/II/III preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support in small groups or 1:1.
• Assist students with assignments, homework, projects, and modifications.
• Reinforce classroom rules and SDI concepts.
• Support behavior management and de-escalation for students.
• Assist with transitions, activities, and personal hygiene needs as required.
• Provide clerical support for the ESS Team and attend meetings/training sessions.
