LABBB Educational Collaborative invites applications for a Special Education Teacher Assistant at Lexington High School in Lexington, MA. The role supports students with moderate disabilities, facilitating inclusive learning in both substantially separate and general education classrooms.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young adults in human services is desirable.
• Willingness to drive LABBB van as required by the program.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to commute between buildings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with arrival and departure of students.
• Support inclusion by connecting students with teachers and staff.
• Assist in data-driven, culturally responsive instruction under licensed staff.
• Prepare instructional materials and support independent and social development.
• Collect student data and share with the team; use adaptive equipment as needed.
• Communicate significant occurrences to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Supervise students in various settings and assist with health-related responsibilities.

Skills
