The Special Education Assistant assists in providingmulti-tiered systems of support to students. The assistant works directly with students who have a variety of needs. Some of the responsibilities include providing one-on-one or small group instruction, supporting intervention strategies, and collecting data on student progress.
The Special Education Assistant supports students in a classroom setting by providing instructional and behavioral assistance under the direction of certified staff. This position is designed to ensure an adult is consistently available to:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, 7.50 hours daily, 37.50 hours weekly, August-June
$15.81 per hour
Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, 6 School Closure Days, Retirement, and Holidays per the bargaining unit agreement.
