Job summary

ESS in Quakertown, PA is seeking a Substitute Teacher to serve as Special Education Assistant for Palisades School District. The role supports classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher and helps students understand subject matter while following established lesson plans.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree and PA Teacher Certification, plus clearances and mandated trainings (Acts 24, 34, 114, 126, 151, 71, 168) and a TB test/physical.

• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release - Act 168.
• Tuberculosis Test/Physical required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration

Substitute Teacher

An ESSsubstitute teacherassists with classroom instruction in the absence of a regularteacher. This person follows and teaches lesson plans, aids students in understanding subject matter, and ensures that regular classroom routines are followed.
