Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District seeks a paraprofessional to support students with disabilities under supervision of a certified teacher. You will help with IEP implementation, behavioral strategies, and daily instructional activities in classroom and non-classroom settings.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, lifting, and personal care, preparing materials, and documenting services provided. Training in CPR, NCI, and SBEC certification will be pursued per district schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 48 college hours completed.
• Paraprofessional SBEC certificate required or eligible.
• Staff must obtain CPR/Heimlich and NCI trainings when available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with physical needs of students and daily activities.
• Support instructional activities and behavior management.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with testing.
• Work under supervision of certified teacher and principal.
• Support students with wheelchair transfers and personal care as needed.
• Document services and participate in professional development.
