Job summary

East Greenwich Township School District is seeking a SPECIAL EDUCATION INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE (5.75 hours) to support students with special needs under supervision. The role assists with instruction, classroom activities, and progress toward IEP objectives.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and may hold 60 college credits, a NJ Substitute Certification, or ParaPro. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential, with the ability to work with diverse students

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 college credits or NJ Substitute Certification or ParaPro required.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions precisely.
• Able to use Word/Excel and basic computer software.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff in classroom to meet instructional goals.
• Support students individually or in small groups.
• Assist with tests, assignments and materials as directed.
• Help implement IEP goals and accommodate student needs.
• Maintain student records and report progress to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety, confidentiality and district policies.
