Job summary

Braswell High School in Little Elm, Texas is seeking a Special Education Aide - Positive Academic & Behavior Support (PABS) to assist teachers in delivering instructional services for students with disabilities under supervision of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, maintaining an orderly classroom, aiding with student supervision inside and outside the school day, and supporting behavior management and progress reporting in alignment with district procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to pass a rigorous exam.
• Education: Associate degree or 48 semester hours of college credit.
• Certification: Current Texas educational aide certificate or ability to obtain.
• Experience: Some experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays; maintain neat and orderly classrooms; assist with inventory and records; support substitute teachers.
• Student Management: Assist students with physical disabilities, provide personal care support, manage behavior, adapt to individual needs, supervise during school hours.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Full duty day supervision of assigned students.
• Other Duties: Follow safety protocols, participate in meetings and events, perform other duties as assigned.
