Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.
• Flexible to meet changing needs with strong tutorial skills.
• Relates well to students, staff and parents.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Strong office computer and oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of child guidance principles and basic instructional methods.
• Willing to supervise students in community settings.
• Willing to participate in district Special Education training.

Responsabilités

• Provide one-to-one support to assigned student throughout the day.
• Assist student in accessing instruction, routines, and general education environment.
• Modify or adapt materials as directed by licensed staff.
• Reinforce academic concepts and skills previously introduced.
• Provide prompts, cues, modeling, and reinforcement as per educational plan.
• Support functional communication across classroom and school environments.
• Assist with augmentative or alternative communication systems when applicable.
• Reinforce social interaction, turn-taking, and self-advocacy skills.
• Encourage development of communication and interaction while respecting dignity.
• Implement behavioral supports and routines as directed by IEP/BIP.
