Erie 1 BOCES seeks Personal Teacher Aides for Winchester Academy, West Seneca, NY, to work 1:1 with students with disabilities under a teacher's direction. Ideal candidates show kindness, a strong work ethic and compassion, and are willing to support daily classroom routines.
Responsibilities include assisting with activities, preparing materials, and supporting behavior management plans in a collaborative school setting.
Competenze
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to work with students with disabilities and follow teacher directions.
Mansioni
- Assist with classroom activities as directed by the teacher.
- Work with individual students one-on-one.
- Aid in arrival/departure routines (coats, boots, lunches).
- Help maintain supplies and prepare teaching materials.
- Support behavior management plans under teacher supervision.
- Supervise activities and assist with daily living tasks as needed.
- Assist with feeding, toileting, and other activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
