Erie 1 BOCES seeks Personal Teacher Aides for Winchester Academy in West Seneca, NY. Positions involve working with students with disabilities 1:1 under a teacher's supervision. Candidates should bring a positive outlook, work ethic and compassion.

Responsibilities include assisting with classroom activities, preparing materials, and supporting daily living activities, including lifting requirements for non-ambulatory students as needed. Training may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of training/experience.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred but not required.
• Ability to support students 1:1 and follow classroom instructions.

Responsabilités

• Assist with classroom activities as directed by the teacher.
• Work with individual children as directed by a teacher.
• Assist with arrival and departure handling coats, boots, and lunches.
• Help prepare materials and keep supplies organized.
• Support in implementing behavior management plan.
• Lift and transport students as needed for daily activities.
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and daily living activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
