Job summary

Southwest Licking Local School District is seeking Educational Aide (Special Education) for two positions at Etna Elementary and Pataskala South Fork Elementary. Reports to assigned administrator/supervisor; salary based on negotiated agreement.

Qualifications

• Valid state license/permit required at appointment.
• Meets state/federal criteria including credentials or approved coursework.
• Demonstrates flexibility, reliability and self-discipline.
• Maintains high ethical standards and integrity; accepts responsibility.
• Criminal background must be clear for public school employment.
• CPI or similar training may be required for some assignments.
• Duties may require providing physical assistance to students.

Responsibilities

• Arrives prepared to start on time and follows sign-in/out procedures.
• Performs non-teaching support as a collaborative member of the educational team.
• Prepares/distributes classroom materials and maintains equipment and spaces.
• Assists with attendance and data accuracy as directed.
• Provides student assistance with daily living activities and behavior management.
• Supports inclusive environments and implements accommodations as directed.
