Job summary

Keller ISD’s Indian Springs Middle in Watauga, Texas seeks a Special Education Aide III to support students with disabilities in a self-contained setting. Under a teacher’s supervision, you will assist with instruction, IEP implementation, and daily classroom operations.

Responsibilities include materials prep, student supervision, behavior support, and collaboration with staff to meet individual needs. Requires a TX Educational Aide Certificate and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet formal academic assessment or have an associate degree or two years of college.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of a teacher, working with individuals or small groups.
• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom; support inventory and equipment care.
• Keep administrative records and prepare required reports; assist substitutes.
• Assist students with physical disabilities and maintain safety during transfers and personal care.
• Support behavior management and document student progress; adapt methods as needed.
• Supervise students during the school day, including lunchroom and bus duty.
