Job summary

The Gilbert Community School District invites applications for a Special Education Aide/Associate at Gilbert High School. This hourly support role collaborates with general and special education teachers to help students with IEPs succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Under guidance, you will assist with implementing goals, maintain records, monitor progress, and support health care needs as outlined in the IEP. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support and implement IEP goals with instructors.
• Perform clerical tasks like filing and maintaining student records.
• Assist with progress monitoring data collection and scoring.
• Record progress data for Medicaid as required.
• Assist with developing alternative assessments per IEP.
• Supervise students in lunchroom, halls, playground, and buses as needed.
• Monitor assignments to ensure on-task completion.
• Assist with health care needs as outlined by IEP.
• Attend IEP meetings and communicate with parents as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and staff.
