Job summary

The Gilbert Community School District is seeking a Special Education Aide/Associate to support students with IEPs under the guidance of teachers and the principal. You will assist with educational, social, and behavioral goals, supervise students, and help maintain records and data as required by IEPs and Medicaid, in a classroom setting and on school grounds.

Qualifications

• Assist with implementing IEP goals.
• Record progress monitoring data.
• Maintain student records and confidentiality.
• Record Medicaid-required data.
• Assist with health care needs per IEP.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist instructor in executing IEP goals.
• Filing and maintaining student records.
• Administer, score, and record progress monitoring data with training.
• Record data for Medicaid.
• Develop alternative assessments per IEP.
• Review and reinforce lessons for individuals or small groups.
• Supervise students in lunchroom, halls, playground, and school vehicles.
• Monitor and assist assignment completion per IEP.
• Assist with health care needs per IEP.
• Attend IEP meetings.
• Communicate with parents via agreed system.
