Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervision, care and instruction of students in regular or self-contained classrooms.
  • Implement IEP objectives and monitor behavior under teacher guidance.
  • Attend IEP meetings and communicate student progress to staff and parents.
  • Administer basic first aid and support students with personal care needs as required.
  • Confer regularly with teachers to evaluate progress and adjust instructional plans.
  • Maintain student records and adapt materials to meet individual needs.
  • Monitor student safety in various school environments and during transitions.
