Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate or obtained after hire.
• Show evidence of formal academic assessment or college coursework (associate degree or two years of study).

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher in preparing and managing classroom activities and administrative requirements.
• Support in implementing classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, data collection, and instruction.
• Work under the supervision of a certified teacher and the principal.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle classroom materials and small equipment.
