Job summary

Fort Bend ISD is looking for a Special Education Aide to provide direct support to students with disabilities. This role involves assisting teachers in implementing individualized education plans and maintaining a safe and engaging environment for students. Responsibilities include supporting students in personal care and behavioral management tasks.

The position requires at least 48 college hours or relevant qualifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. This role may require significant physical assistance to students during their daily routines, including lifting and positional support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college hours or passing score on Para Professional Assessment.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or must obtain after hiring.
• De-Escalation/Restraint Certification preferred or must obtain after hiring.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with personal care services.
• Implement behavioral strategies based on teacher guidance.
