Qualifications

• Knowledge of District policies and classroom procedures.
• Knowledge of techniques used in assisting students with special needs.
• Skill in utilizing general instructional strategies.
• Skill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Skill in operating standard computer and software applications.
• Interact positively with employees and the community to promote the District.
• Participate in team-building activities and decision-making.
• Communicate and collaborate with campus teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with preparation of instructional equipment and displays; ensure materials and supplies are ready; maintain a safe instructional area; perform clerical duties and assist with equipment operation.
• Provide assistance to campuses/departments as requested.
• Participate in professional development to increase effectiveness and improve district performance.
• Support administration of state-mandated testing at campuses in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Comply with policies established by federal and state law, including Board policy.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
